ATHUMI means nobility in the Etruscan language, a fitting name for a wine of such noble qualities. It is produced from Sangiovese and Petit Verdot grape varieties near the village of Farnese in the splendid area known as the Tuscia Viterbese. Athumi derives its character and strength from the minerals in the tuffaceous volcanic soil.
The wine is ruby red in colour with highlights of garnets. It has an intense aroma with fruity notes of red currents and cherries mixed with spices and vanilla. It is full-bodied and has an excellent balance between acidity and tannins, with a pleasing and persistent finish.
