Athumi Calus is vinified from the Sangiovese and Petit Verdot grape varieties grown on terrains of volcanic origin.
The designation Athumi Calus—the Etruscan words for Nobility and Excellent—are a testament to the high quality of this wine, thanks also to the long ageing period, 20 months in new oak barrels.
There is a surprising mix of varietal aromas on the nose, red berries with spices and balsamic notes.
It is a well structured wine with a pleasing and persistent finish.
